Default wheel size question?

i am looking at putting new wheels on the sg. i am going with an 18 front and not sure with the rear. if i go with an 18 rear will it raise my ride height up? or is there a lower profile tire to keep the same outside diameter of the tire or should i just stick with a 16? im not looking to lower the bike to compensate for tire size differences. thanks

yes, there is a low profile rear tire available, stock. it is found on the cvo bikes.
180/55-18. compared to the stock 180/65-16, it has a total diameter difference of 1/2'', which would raise the seat height 1/4''.

well, to be honest, i didn't really notice that much difference between the 2. but i was comparing a 2010 custom to a 2012 cvo. there were a lot of differences, so i couldn't attribute any one thing to the different wheel.
