Great form with lots of info, glad I joined. Sold my Dyna & I am looking to buy a 2012 SG,with the help of the form the bike I thought I wanted is different from the one I would get. Seems dealers here (Canada) don't negotiate off list too much however have room on add ons, So, Denim, ABS, Security, reinhart slip ons, smoke color signals & stage one, I am a short person so lowering might be an option as well, I can probably push the dealer for a couple of more parts, anything you would suggest? Tax here is 13%, OTD price is 28K. Then of course some after market mods, solo seat, recurve windshield , stereo speaker upgrade, etc, yes, open the wallet indeed.
Welcome to the forum from York Pa. I would look at highway pegs, a 4 point docking system, the windshield, and a backrest for the passenger. If you do a lot of 2up riding, you may want a second seat for the rider.
Congrats on the new X! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine.
If you're short there are some good seats that will lower you...search and you will surely find a lot of good threads with recommendations.
Bars, Seat, Slip-ons, A/C and ecm module of some sort (I am a BIG fan of the TTS Mastertune stuff vs SE, but that's just me) and you should be set with the basics IMHO.
Ya the rear lighting is an issue you should raise with the dealer, I'm sure there is an easy solution and I'm hoping to have my fendertiplight working before the snow melts!
