I'm thinking of upgrading my '07 Ultra's stock headers and Screamin' Eagle slips-ons to the V&H Pro Pipe. I heard one and loved the sound, and the performance is supposed to be excellent. But I'm torn because the 2-into-1 doesn't look as classic, and maybe I should just go with some duals. I even thought of getting the black Pro-Pipe, but my bike is more classic chrome style than black so I'd better stick with the chrome. My friend got some Big Shot headers and High Output slipons, and they were a little louder than I want. Maybe some Monster Ovals or Monster Rounds. I already have the stage 1 air cleaner and plan to get a PC. Should I get the PC5? My mechanic says I don't really need to dyno-tune it, that flashing a map on the PC would be good enough for me. I suppose he's right, I'm not on the racetrack or anything.
So anyway, just interested in hearing your opinions. You already know I don't want anything real loud. Just a nice deep rumble and decent performance.
If you're interested in true duals, and want to talk to someone who understands what performs, what doesn't, and why, contact forum sponsor MGS Custom Bikes. They posted up some dyno info on one of their exhaust systems in this thread. I have Rinehart TDs on my bike because they perform very well.
