Default how do i identify 06 heads?

Money is not the best right now but I still have the itch so I figured this would be a cheap way to get a little more out of her. How do I identify 06 heads and would it be worthwhile considering my cam choice (s&s 510g)?

Not sure I understand your question. But Big Boyz heads website has alot of information on the differences between the 06 and the earlier heads. And head work can pick up the slack on the bottom end for cams that close later +40 degrees.

Ok cool. I wanted to know what I needed to be looking at in terms of casting or part numbers to determine if the heads I'm looking at is in fact heads from an 06. Also would 06 heads even be worth it with my s&s 510 cams? I'll take a look at the big boyz site.

I had no clue about head differences in the 06' till I bought one. The earlier heads or the later heads? I believe the later one is what you would want. I have no idea when they changed either, so I still have no idea which heads are on mine. Hope to hear from someone out there myself.
Dawg, you have any idea?

casting numbers on the heads. They'll have a 06 suffix.
