Default $$$ engine mods $$$

I've already got parts for a cam and tensioner upgrade for my 00 fuel injected RG. Going with a S.E. cam plate & 203 cams. I wanted feed back if I should go with 06 stock heads? My $'s are limited. Next year I'm going 95". Is it worth my labor changing my heads to the 06 with no porting? Or waiting for my big bore and install ported heads then?

Absolutely. The '06 heads flow much better than your OEM heads and installing them now, with a .030" head gasket, will make a difference. If you want to port them when you go to 95", you can do it then. I have a friend running stock '06 heads, unported, but with a triple angle valve job and milled for compression on his '05 Deuce with Andrews 37 cams making 104TQ/94HP.

If you are a solo rider, the SE204 might be a better choice; it is a very underrated cam.

Any heads '06 or later; no changes after '06. You will need a set of '06 intake flanges; the earlier ones won't fit.

Will the flanges match up with the MM fuel injection manifold?

There are no differences in the pre '06 intake ports so it doesn't matter whether you are fitting to a MM intake or a Delphi. The only difference in the flanges is the bolt pattern; the '06 and later heads have the studs in a different location.
