Thought cop bike folks would like to see the '08 model with fairing two-tone and a few tricks. Including filling those pesky gauge blanks (without changing wiring harness)
Got a Buddy of mine just bought a 2011 FLHTP with 2100 miles on it for $13K and he's in the process of turning it into a Roadglide with stretched bags, stretched rear fender and fuel tank, custom made seat, custom paint, killer stereo,18" rear and 26"front wheel just to name a few things !!

Thanks for the pictures; looks like a unique approach on the two-tone treatment..
As for the "few tricks" and "pesky guage blanks," I couldn't figure out what you did--so, please explain.
The FLHTP has different harness (Im sure you knew that) so the bottom two gauges are blanks. All things considered, those gauges are about as worthless as **** on a boar-hog. So I just used the Hawg Wired Teeter kit (My HD shop folks didn't carry them) Super easy and keeps it looking from incomplete or the madness of changing harness. Cop bike folks gotta band together. Sorry....no real trick.
Re: the bearing. I'm about to install new wheels (powder-coated gloss black) and will be replacing bearings. Thanks for heads up....

He's turning it into a Road Glide? He's getting rid of the batwing and installing the Road Glide's frame mounted fairing? I'd like to see that. I'd also think that when he's done he will have spent more than what it woud cost to just buy a Road Glide.
actually, I didn't add a "stereo" or silly "head unit". I added an amp and a direct connect to the Ipod. Toss it in the little fairing compartment ...bingo bango! The best quality sound. PS the Hawg wired kit comes with a cross-over that really does the trick moving the right sounds to the correct speakers.
