Curious, what rpm do you have your rev limiter set at? With what setup?
I have stock springs/heads with a S&S 551 cam (SE255 very similar) 2011 103. My bike makes all of it's torque/HP 2200-4500. I can't really see a need to bump the rev limiter. If I do, maybe a few hundred.
What is a safe max RPM on the 103 in your opinion?

I can't imagine you'd be bumping the stock rev limiter very often with those cams. Having said that, my limiter is set at 6200. My cams aren't what you'd want at that rpm either. I'm never over 5500 in real life and rarely over 5K.
2010 fatboy Lo with 103, 10:5:1, 259E, no head work but new springs and my rev limiter is set at 6200. I also hit it it occasionally as it get there fast in 1st and 2nd gears.

Yeah but your talking pretty serious compression/cams and high performance springs. Bet it's a fun ride!
2012 Street Glide, Woods TW-555 Cams, rev limiter set at 6200 and can find it in the first five, pulling power all the way, very quick in the first three. I wouldn't want to set it any higher than that, though.
