Just put 11" Santee bars on my Electra Glide. Got them new online for $50, they're 1 1/4" bagger bars which I liked better than Harley's 1" bar. Price was right, too cold to test drive, but I'm 6'4" as well and they seem to fit the bill. I too didn't want them much above the fairing.
