Any negatives? Seems like a good idea especially for checking and getting air to the back tire.

I have the motocycle anchor version on my front and am waiting for a new tire for the rear. In another thread on the same topic someone mentioned that it would be easier for one of these angled stems to break and lose air if hit by debris.

I have had them for 2 years and never had a problem. Makes checking/adding air a breeze. They will last forever.

sounds like an old wives tale. I don't think that is something anyone needs to worry about.

I agree. I have about 5K on my front and it is so much easier to check the pressure. I am actually excited to get a new rear tire so that I can get the mate installed. I keep it in the saddle bag in case I get a flat...

Here is mine:

I don't think a 45* angle is enough, it would still be hard to get to. You want 90* or close to it so it shoots straight out at you.

Would this be a viable alternative? I was thinking I might go this route.

90* valve stems, I need someone to make a set that will screw on the the tire air valve, or compression fit over the valve stem threads. I have spoked rims use inner tube.
Please somone help.

I've seen 90* extensions, they're out there.

It is a pita to put those things on, you can't leave them on so you have to do it every time, might as well not use anything.
