I think that the throttle body plug is preferable to seeing than is the covers that some of you guys are putting on over the throttle bodie's which are even more obtrusive.
If you are gong to put on something other than stock at least put something cool on..

I run an open filter and have been caught in monsoon-like downpours (a couple of hundred miles worth) on several occasions with no ill effects at all. I did wind up buying a rain sock for it (for the peace of mind) but didn't notice any difference.

I run the rain sock year round and it don't hurt nothin' other than keepin' your filter a lot cleaner.
