Air cleaner cover options
2012 Ultra Limited, stg.-1 air cleaner. I am wanting to get away from the OEM "football" shaped AC cover and go with a round design ! Any pics of my options and the manuf. would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Craig

before you do, look at the plastic plug and wiring at the 9 o'clock on the intake.
the football cover hides this.
others may not.
a round cover usually denotes an evo motor- an evo air cleaner cover will fit over most filters, you may need to rotate the carb cut out to the bottom

So, I ended up with a Ness Scarab cover. It's still shaped like a football, but a little cooler. (so I think)

Got this one from HD. It shows the motor off better. It's open on the bottom and it might just be me, but I think it helps keep it run cooler. I can't stand the football.

Thanks to all. I never even thought about the cover may not covering the electronics at 9 o-clock ! http://www.badasscovers.com/harleyda...anercovers.htm I like these the best so far, the willie G. skull with slots BAC 108/100. $294 WOW ! At 8" dia., they really won't show more motor than the foot ball style. Craig
