I turn mine upside down and use it as an ashtray while I'm fueling up!

I've owned 30 something motorcycles and every single one had a removable gas cap...You talking about the flip style like some crotch rockets and such?

Maybe the Harley crowd has more mechanical ability and that righty-tighty...lefty-loosy thing doesn't intimidate us! ;-) Sorry couldn't help myself.!

Beside the damn hole. Plenty of room. Why does this have to be soooo hard?

****, I don't remember...! I think I place it next to the hole. I did however, installed the Harley push button gas lid opener instead of having to use the key each time and I love this little mod.

Upside down on my seat. If you see me walking funny, you know I'd forgotten it and gotten a specialized reminder.

I set mine down whereever depending on where I'm standing when I need to set it down. Something about that gaping hole in the tank with fuel visible underneath always reminds me of exactly where I left the gas cap.
