I'm on the fence between the Yaffe classic 10 inch apes or these new 2+2 sweepers. I need some more height and a shorter reach for my Streetglide, along with a more relaxed grip angle. Which one of these would do that for me?

I'm getting the black 2+2 bars, but have to wait until April. KW is behind and Drag and others are out of stock of the chrome ones as well.

I installed these bars on my Glide. I went with a +4" clutch cable because in order to use the stock one you have to route it from the grommet in the fairing to down the left side of the neck and it started chaffing. Since I have a painted inner fairing it was damaging the paint. I upgraded to a +4" Diamondback cable. You can still use the stock brake line no problems. Again I upgraded to chrome diamondback so I went with a 21" upper line. Now as to wiring I went internal. The only problem I had was that the wiring was now 2" shorter so I had to unclip the connector plugs from their location under the fairing and zip tie them to the fairing brackets further in. I had no problems with the original green TBW connector, it was used as is with no additional wiring.

recieved my 2+2s a couple days ago, but haven't installed yet, they will work with non-TBW bikes. Have the +2 on now and the OEM brake line was maxed out even after tweaking it, I don't think the OEM brake line will work with these on a batwing glide. Not sure if you need wire extensions, I drilled and internal wired my +2s and there was plenty of length.

Anyone have any pictures off these installed. Interested in them, internally wired, and longer clutch cable. I have '10 street glide, where do I get the correct length cable?

I think that if you wanted to use your fairing mirriors you would be SOOL with the 2+2's.
So that should probably be a consideration too for the 2's.
The Sweeper's +2 are ok for the fairing mirriors though.

I haven’t mounted mine yet but they will be nice and a little tall (what I want). I don’t plan on using the fairing mirrors.

From KW website (below), they say you can get away with no cable replacement, unless an Electra Glide. The other forum discussing the +2 (noted in my previous post) says on a SG you have to relocate the clutch cable but that a longer one would alleviate some tension. I am changing out the clutch and getting a longer one. I got the TGS just in case and hoping I don’t need it.

http://www.khromewerks.com/ then New Products
.......Version for 2008-12 Road Kings and Road Glides measures 32” grip to grip with 8-1/2” of straight section between the lower bends. No cable or brake hose changes normally required. Version for Electra Glides and Street Glides† is 34” grip to grip with 12” center straight section. 2+2 Sweepers on Electra Glide models requires longer clutch cable, OEM #38649-98 for 1996-2006, OEM #38649-07 for 2007, OEM #38649-08 for 2008-up. Wire extension for the ETC may or may not be needed. Harley- Davidson offers a Twist Grip Sensor Kit, p/n 32310-08 with 29” longer wires to eliminate wire splicing of the sensor unit. Namz Custom Cycle Products Inc. offers wire extension kits as well. Made in USA.
† Installation on Street Glide models will require handlebar mounted mirrors.

I just ordered the 300517 2+2 Sweepers from Khromewerks today. Anyone that has installed them, any tips? Do I need to order any new cables?

Thanks, Paul

Default Install on my 2011 TBW Street Glide with Heat Demons

I am in the process of getting these installed from my local bike shop and they just called and said that the TBW and my heat demons hand warmer plate wont fit in the bar. The right side will have to be honed out to accommodate the heat demons - just a little to tight. As far as cables, I went with a +4 clutch braided and am going to go with braided brake while at it. Think it really only would require clutch. The guys at shop said that the TBW cable is fine.
