Just ordered my C&C Sport Tour before price increase!!
Well didnt really have the extra loot laying around but according to Dave at C&C they are getting a 10% increase as of tomorrow. Anyway ordered me up a Sport Tour with drivers backrest. Getting it in leather with ace of spades pattern front and rear. Opted out for the gel, may regret that but I dont think its worth that much in the cushion department just vibration and shock. Got the 10% HDForums discount to boot. Super nice guys out there!! Ive got an Ultra Classic seat on it now and while comfy its dorky as hell looking. Havent decided if I will sell that seat of keep it for super long rides.......what do yall think??
I had one last year for a bit.
Sat me about an inch further back.
Wife said it encroached in her space.
It was a little firm-er than I would have liked.
Needless to say, it was sold on this forum.
Back to the ol' HD Sundowner which is more comfy to my wife and me.
Did ya get the vinyl w/flame stitching?
Here's my old one, or how it looked the brief time that it was on:
Man that looks SHARP!! I got leather with ace stitch pattern with backrest. My wife is fairly small with add on gel pads......LOL. SO if that is a problem the backrest can go in the saddlebags and I can lean on her. Best of both worlds!
Replacing the saddle was one of the very first things I did with my StreetGlide. Was headed to Corbin with a fistful of dollars but discovered C&C on this forum. I ordered the SportTourer in black leather with red Devil's tail stitching with matching backrest. I also had them recover my stock passenger's backrest to match. I couldnt be happier! Working with Dave I had the seat modded to bring me closer to the ground and a little bit forward. Top quality product with expert craftsmanship. Great customer service and turnaround time. I had the new saddle in about two weeks from order date. C&C definately has my business going forward.
Thanks!! Yeah, Chuck and Chuey are great guys,(One worked at Danny Gray and the other at Corbin) and if I ever get another seat (got 2 Sundowners) I will let them have another crack at it and have it really custom made for my specifications by them as opposed to anyone else.
Did you order your seat straight from C&C or from another site that carries C&C its called sideroadcycles.com I was just wondering because i was looking to ordering one soon and I'm wondering who to contact to see if I can talk to them and still get the lower price in a week or two
The prices go up TOMORROW! 10% up. It was funny because he was saying that the vinyl is petroleum based and the fiberglass pans used resins that were petroleum based, blah, blah, blah. They were paying $4.50/gallon and on and on. Then I said "yeah I work in the oilfield in Texas......matter of fact Im on a drilling rig right now tryin to get some of that precious **** out of the ground!" He was like LOL, well no discount for you and shipping is double! Cool folks, really a pleasure to deal with. Was on the phone with Dave for 26 minutes. Alot of BS'n and going over this and that. If there seats are half as good as there customer service they are a win/win.
Why would you not buy directly from the manufacturer? If something is not right or if you have an issue you call THE guy that made your seat. Not sure what the other guys discounts are but I guarantee it wont be much more. 10% is a NICE cut.
