Is there still a running lean problem with the 07"s
I just bought a new 07 Electra Glide Standard. Someone at the dealership told me that with the 07's you can change the exhaust and not have to worry about running lean and needing a PC III, or SERT, or a TFI, etc.
He said Harley Davidson changed all of that and is not like the 06's and earlier models.
What is your take on this? Is he right?

He is telling you the truth, but there is a catch. You can change your mufflers to any of the current SE mufflers listed in the 07 parts catalog for the 07 models without doing anything. Ok here is the catch. All Harley Screaming Eagle mufflers are now EPA 50 state legal mufflers and the reason they need no retuning is they are almost the exact same as stock other than some have changable end caps and some have a different style of end from the stock mufflers. Sound and power will only increase ever so slightly(almost unoticable) as you can see in the graph that is in the catalog. If however you add real free flowing mufflers from, vance and hines, old SE II's, rhineharts or any other you will need a fuel mangement system to prevent a overly lean condition.
