2010 FLHTK - I am keeping it stock
I let others influence me. Stage 1 (SEPST, V&H Slash Cut ovals) done today
I blame others - I need to stay off this forum! It is YOUR fault
Dealer looked after me. Did it together with my 10k service ready for spring. New wheels on warranty (pealing chrome), new front tyre, new front brake pads.
My only regret is I had to pick the bike up after work and literally ride straight home. I really love the sound. Didnt want too loud as I had basics on my 08 and that was a tad loud for me. These are deep and throaty.
Too early to tell about performance inprovement, but it does feel better.
I do think there should be a rule against getting new brake pads and tyres at the same time. Take it easy until they pads bed in - yeah right
I remember saying the same thing when I bought my new 2011 RGU last year. I had stage 1 on it before I had 500 miles which was the first couple of days. I said this is it absolutely nothing else and by the end of the summer I had installed a new 2.1 supertrapp supermeg because the stock headers just were not cutting it lol. but that was it for real. while a fellow member here just happen to be selling a set of se 254 cams that I had been eye balling and damned if they did not show up yesterday. no less then 10 minutes ago I just ordered the new tools to install the new inner bearings no more tho that is it......

Its funny you say this because I told my wife the same thing. My brother past away two years ago and I brought the bike home. My wife knows me pretty well and asked what I was going to do with it. I said nothing going to leave it just like it is. Two years later it has new paint, new wheels, stage 1 is done, new radio and speakers, 2 new seats, new chrome forks ( had to match the wheels),12" wild ones with chrome controlls, and Im waiting on the chrome kit for the engine now. I just told her he would have wanted it this way. Here is old and new.

Thing is, in your case you are right - that is exactly what your brother would have wanted. Very tastefully done, nice scoot
