Hi, guy's.Wash and polished my 03 standard yesterday. Then went for a ride. Bike idles great, but I had an occasional back fire as I let off the gas.
I decided to put the juice to it and it would bog down and sputter. I have 24000 miles. I have not change plugs, I did put away early last year with a half tank of gas, no stabilizer but have never used any.
OK I will be the one to say what everyone else is going to say in a nut shell, FUEL SUCKS NOW!!!! In the good ole days you could put your motorcycles or snowmobiles away and not worry too much about it next year. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE. Don't add to it in hopes of bettering it. Run it, drain it or whatever ya need to do to get it down to as close to gone as possible and then put, not full, some good new gas in and run it thru when that is almost gone fill it up and hope. I know many say, Oh that's BS. Well it gets more and more real every year. Keep us posted and next year use a little something as a preservative - addative. That is another huge story, and everyone has an opinion on those too, but something is better than nothing. Hope this helps and good luck
Kris
OK I waited for someone else to do it but I agree 100%!!!!! I do lots of hi horse power 2 stroke stuff where fuel is even more of an issue, and have had great luck with it.
Black pearl your probably right on the fuel, It's not that I've never used seafoam in my boats. But as warmer weather stays around longer I would still be fishing in late December and riding. I just put my bike away early was locked in on bow hunting. Not enough time to do it all.

While not the SAME boat, I find myself in the same boat every year.
