Default narrowed down to two

but they are differant types... let me explain.

2000 Ultraclassic, 60,000 miles with a bigbore kit put in (at the HD dealership) 10,000 miles ago. $8000.00

can I take the trunk off and put just a roadking backrest on it? I do not like the look of the trunk... OR...

2005 Fatboy, 9,700 miles motor all original with single seat and lots of chrome dodads, for $9900.00

I would need a two-up seat, saddlebags and differant pipes (so the bags fit) I love the solid wheels and cleaned look.

opinions, comments... please tell me what you are thinking

They do make FatBoy specific saddlebags that do not require an exhaust change.

MSG Hall, that's like me asking you what color I should paint my house, very subjective question without qualifying what kind of riding you plan to do and solo or 2 up. At face value, the ultra would be the best choice if you plan long rides or high % of interstate running, 2up or solo. The other would be best for commuting, day trips, solo and some 2 up etc.

Way better ride with the ultra,do you have the paperwork for the motor rebuild? Yes you can strip the pack off and throw a street glide windsheild on if you want some wind in the face.
