I know we all sing the praises of the good folks at FuelMoto. I'm posting this here since this is the forum they sponsor. I want everyone to know how cool these guys are.
I got the FuelMoto branded PC III a couple weeks ago for my '03 Road King. This was not my first purchase from them, I did up my 2010 Ultra and 2009 Electra Glide Classic (RIP) with their stuff.
Anyway, I got these unknown slip ons, Cobra duals, SE A/C, SE 211 cams, yada, yada. When I put the FM PC III in, I instantly got my low end back! The other day, when starting up cold, I got a huge backfire. I also had been getting some really nasty popping on decel and when rolling off to shift. Gave FM a call today and chatted with Keith.
Not only did he talk me through tweaking the map, he listened to my story about the weirdness with the bike, the fiddling I've been doing with it, etc. He sounded like he had a cold or something but he kept on the phone with me, he answered all my questions about PowerCommanders, told me how to "fiddle" with it so I could keep experimenting on my own. Very patient, didn't talk down to me or anything - just two guys shooting the breeze under a tree tinkering with a vehicle.
I'm in the IT industry and have done my share of support. It can suck, real bad. Keith was awesome. A trained and informed customer is a support call avoided. He seems to get that. I know those guys are crazy busy and the business environment is tough everywhere. My experience with Keith was the best part of my day.
Oh yea, and I went for a 40mi spin this evening, no more decel/roll-off pop. AND, I know know enough to fiddle with it myself if I want to.
Way to go FuelMoto, and thanks Keith! I'll be going to those guys for as long as I ride. Hopefully for many more years.
Got some decal popping, at the same time my throttle response (initail) feels as strong as my 103 6w6 SG but falls flat above 3.5k. The decel poppin actually sounds preety good (pop here and there).. Waiting for summer temps to see if it get worse then ill call, either way I know the fix is just a phone call away For me its tolerable and actually sounds good in the saddle.
I'll agree. After way WAY too much internet research on cams I called and talked to Keith. His talk about the TW-555 cams sold me hook, line, and sinker. They perform as advertised too.
glad you guys had luck contacting them , after 2 unanswered emails and 2 unreturned phone messages , I called Nightrider and ordered XIEDS... I know this isn;t the norm with fuelMoto according to the posts I have read on here , but maybe they were busy , those 4 days ???? anyway If i ever do any more extensive mods , i'll try them again I guess..... as they seem to have alot of positive responses on here ...
Agree! We all know Jamie is great, but Keith is as well!
I emailed with a question on a Saturday night and got a reply on Sunday from Kieth.
I was very impressed!
