Strange sound while connecting battery

I installed a Biketronics radio kit in my 2008 FLHT with no problems. When I reconnected the battery there was a good spark and a whirring sound (sounded like fuel injection pump). The ignition was off. Bike seems to run ok and the Biketroincs kit operates as advertized. Any idea what the sound was?

No idea, but the sound happens every time I replace a battery, nothing to worry about.

Security has a draw on battery when reconnecting. Too the clock on the radio has a draw too.

I had my battery recently disconected and heard the same noise... I believe (my personal oppinion) that it is the "Idle air controll" motor spooling up, take 12 volts away from it, and it goes into a default position, add 12 volts and it moves into a "ready" position.
