Just wondering if anyone has ever had a battery go dead on the ultra EFI and what kind of problems you had because of reprogramming etc...? I have heard that if I let my battery go dead it could cost as much as $650, for what I do not know. If anyone can enlighten me on this I would be thankful.
Just replace the battery! Never heard of any issues...seems pretty odd that some stealer or other ne'r do well and unscruplious wrench would talk that trash!
Kind of depends how it dies but this is a worse case situation. If you have a bad battery/combination stator problem/voltage regulator about to go it definitely could be big money.Abattery on an Ultra should last at least 3 years properly maintained by either riding the bike often enough and with religious use of a battery tenderIf you have a bunch of accessories and the bike is working hard especially in hot climates it is a good idea to at least have a load test done at 3 year end in early fall. HEAT KILLS BATTERIES AND COLD WEATHER FINDS IT OUT.
