I was thinking of putting on the Detachable Tour Pack hardware in the near future, not looking for any info on that I got it covered... What I did want to know is if any of you that have done it have had any issues with your radio. I read a couple of threads here in my search about how the radio needs to be reflashed or issues with the radio when you remove the tour pack and rear speakers ?
Can anyone shed any light on this ?
Thanx and Happy Holidays to EVERYONE !!![sm=TY.gif]
I have the detach kit on my 06 and have no problems with my radio as of yet. I use a Dakota Digital powered hidden antenna under my fairing. But since I mounted my Sirius that is all i listen to now other than burned mp3 cd's.. When i remoe the tour pack I tuck the wires up under the seat and over the battery into the hole
by the tank..
I am not aware of any re-flashing issue due to the removal of the tour pack. There have been issue with the HK radio and I have had mine reflashed to the latest update. Unforuntately this did not help. My radio was fine for the first 2000 miles. Now when I drive down the rode singing my head off to the Goldie Oldies all of a sudden my radio switches to the Weather band and I start giving the five day forecast. My dealer has ordered me a new radio for my 2007 Ultra Classic. Hope it all gets resolved prior to the warranty expiration.

They also re-flashed the electronics for the recall regarding the fuel mixture.
