So I love my new SG, but can't get used to not having that "Harley" taillight. Anyone ever add one to 2010+ SG? I think the internationl bikes come with one? Wonder if it requires a new rear fender or can be aded to the existing flat space above the T/S bar?
They sell a conversion light for the three-bar light at the bottom of the fender that makes it a run/brake light. I don't think that's what you are asking for, but maybe something to consider to keep the back clean and add another brake light for safety.
I picked up the HD "kit" that turns the lower rear tail light into a brake light, so it's not just a running light. For my 2012, it was $129 plus tax. Took 10 minutes to install - looks and works great & adds a little more piece of mind. I also have the Custom Dynamics LED turn signal kit - front and rear with smoked lenses which uses a single load balancer module. $200 for that. Very pleased! Pics coming in a new thread showing all my mods later today
Street Glides are suppose to be clean and custom, the two bullet red lights are brighter than the solo center stop light. If you added the center stop light and converted the turn signal into stop/turn then it would be brighter but seem like a lot of work to make your bike look like an older model or worse like an ultra with a removed toupac. Might as well add the pancake turn signals?
Have you looked at this? Center-Mount Auxiliary Running & Brake Light
Brilliant red center-mount running and brake light grabs attention of following vehicles. The fast-acting long life LEDs glow red when ignition is on and intensify when the brakes are applied. The low-profile chrome shell attaches to and hugs the contour of the turn signal bar for a custom look. Plug-in connection for easy installation. 68000029
