Okay all. Some of you have asked about an update on my sound system upgrade. It all started with buying the ipod interface from Iron Cross. Went to install it and the unit was bad. Since I had to ship it back and wait for a new one, I decided to leave the fairing apart (rainy and cold so I couldn't ride anyhow). Bad decision. Over the course of the next few days, and walking by the bike with the fairing off, I decided I "needed" to upgrade the stereo, speakers and amp. Just got it all together today and it sounds friggin awesome. RF Punch amp, 300x2, Sony Marine MS60 Head Unit, and Polk 6 1/2's marine grade, in the fairing. Oh, and I didn't even realize it but the face of the sony goes down and inside the unit it holds my iphone and plays my tunes from the phone. Funny thing, now I am sending back the Ipod interface. No longer need it.

Biketronics is an awesome company. Been using their products for years. Just installed their Titan II speakers with the BT1002 Retro Radio kit and also went with the Sony DSX-MS60 head unit. Love the convenience of dropping my iPod inside and forgetting about it.

I suppose I forgot to mention the part about Biketronics. Got the Sony from them as well as the retro bike kit to use the handlebar controls. Great people, easy install, perfect right out of the box.

I have the retro kit also with the cheap sony that was standard at the time of purchase. I love it. I did have one problem though, the auto volume control when just jump from 28 to 38-40 for a few seconds and back down. I just disabled that on mine and manually control it now. I would like to know if you experience the same thing or if I just have a defective unit.
