You can drop at $35 at the dealer for a plug in kit.

or just do a search and come up with the DIY wiring diagram, which involves changing a couple of wire connections

they both have the same degree of difficulty, so I'd say keep the $35.

I'm too lazy to search it for you

This disturbs me that something that makes night driving safer is an option that you have to pay extra for. Why can't HD do the right thing and make this kind of stuff factory equipment? Seems they only do what DOT makes them do. Same goes for frame stabilizers and anything else that makes the bike safer to operate.

I believe it is DOT regulations.

To keep idiots from sitting on my rear for 4 hours with all their lights on- some people have no sense.

Someone who is smart enough to wire up the spots will be smart enough to realize the effect on other traffic and smart enough to watch their voltmeter.

Very Cool! I did not know the factory harness option was out there! I was gonna do the wiring mod when I swap bars, this saves all the soldering work. Will make for a much neater job. Thanks for the info!

The wire harness kit is nice, but I would not pay 25-35 dollars for something that takes less than 3 minutes to do. I mean if you are in the fairing already you can do do this mod in just a couple of minutes, and if your not in the fairing, you can do it under the nacelle in less than 5 minutes. Just cut the yellow wire and use a quick tap to connect the orange/red wire (which is already right next to the yellow wire) to the yellow wire on the side of the switch.

Not to slam you at all, please understand that. Them quick tap things are trash though. I wont use them on my trailer, much less my bike. If ya do it, do it right. Yea, you can save 30 bux & soilder the wires in & heat shrink the connections. I know for a fact you will have trouble with them POS quick quick connect or tap things. Been there done that. I see it every day bro.
