How did you hook up the side lights on the tour pak? the original wiring was removed with the lights and there is no mention of how to connect them in the HD kit?

++1 Here. That is how I got the lights on my tour pak to work with my Street Glide. All I did was run an extra wire for a ground. Made wiring the lights a breeze. And like mentioned you get all functions including hazards which you do not get with the HD kit, AND there is no extra relays/boxes to put anywhere.

I do believe however that you HAVE to upgrade to LED lighting (like thats a big deal...win win because you have better lighting at that point).

On the ultra there are running lights and brake lights stock on the tour pak. So does this kit only add turn signals to the tour pak?
I'm confused with this part #6940004A because the description says it adds an auxiliary brake light and turn signal function to the OE tour pak.
But if you have running and brake lights stock, do you only use the signal part of this harness?

Install per the directions and the corner lights become turn signals in addition to their normal run/brake functions.

If you use the search function you will find a thread I did with video on this kit.

Whats the point in buying something to solve one problem only to create another..

I didnt have the problem either i got my plug and play kit thru custom dynamics and really like it knock on wood no issues at all
