I was afraid everyone would say LRS...I had a negative experience with them and am REAL shy about buying from them again because of the **** poor way they handled it...
My experience was great, this would be the first I would have heard a bad experience, but it does happen, occasionally.
I had the same issue, drove me crazy going from trying to look over it or through it. Stock windshield was 20". I bought a clearveiw 17", what a difference now I have a bout a 2" clear veiw over the top of the windshield.
The Clearveiw has a slight recurve at the top which kicks the wind up and over top of your head, I'm 5' 11". I think I bought it for $200.00 brand new.
It is a small company, also the windshield is a lot thicker than the stock, I bought a slightly tinted one and if you didn't know it you would not even notice.
I have heard of people getting windshields from them cheaper because of a defects, but the defects aren't noticeable, I'm kind of **** and like all my stuff perfect, but that just me. Hope this helps.
LSR works for me, I also have extra dark shield it looks great on a black bike. They made
a coustom higth shield for me being they are made Locally here in the Reno Sparks area.
Good People to work with too, I can't say how happy I am with Long Rides Shield.
I'm 6'4" and have been dealing with this. I got the LRS stock height with the "flip". It helps but doesn't eliminate the buffeting. I dig the shield a lot and it did improve my setup but not sure how I would ever totally eliminate the buffeting being so tall.
I have a 15 inch Clearview recurve shield on my King and it works great! Look over the top, (I'm 5'9"), no buffeting,,,excellent quality! Uses your stock mounting hardware.

That shield looks GREAT. How much time do you spend on the highway? How is it at 75 or so (my preferred cruising speed)? How loud is it in the air pocket? My main complaint about the Klockwerks is how loud the shield is. I switched with my brother tonight (he is running a stock shield) and the first thing he said is "WOW! This thing is loud"...He couldn't hear his handlebar mounted speakers over the wind noise...
There are a ton of threads on batwing bikes but not much for Road Kings...I have a Klockwerks shield on my RK and I don't care for it. It is better that the stock shield but still not quite right. It is too tall (the top is right in my eye line) and it seems like it is louder that the stocker was...The stock was too tall as well...What do you RK guys recommend? I need a shield that is about 2 to 3 inches shorter than stock (I want to look over the top) and would prefer some quiet...
I cut mine a year ago and its perfect but starting to get scratched a little...time for a new one...you selling your original?
