Default Road King windshield?

There are a ton of threads on batwing bikes but not much for Road Kings...I have a Klockwerks shield on my RK and I don't care for it. It is better that the stock shield but still not quite right. It is too tall (the top is right in my eye line) and it seems like it is louder that the stocker was...The stock was too tall as well...What do you RK guys recommend? I need a shield that is about 2 to 3 inches shorter than stock (I want to look over the top) and would prefer some quiet...

There is lots of info on cutting down your stock shield. I cut mine nearly 3" off the top. So easy.

I have the stock quick mount hardware and bought a new shield on e-bay. They are available in diff. lower tints if you want and various heights for under a C note. Memphis Shade is the mnf.

I went with the Long Ride Shields 19", which is about 3 inches shorter than stock, curved at the top, and thicker material. Love this thing.

Memphis shades come in a variety of sizes. I haven't had one on my roadking but have had them in the past and was very happy with them.

Like Sun Cruise said, cut it down with a jig saw. Its easy, takes about 30 min including prep time and sanding with 200 grit. I gotta warn ya, 3" is a huge amount to cut off- 1 1/2 inch will end up lower than you think....

Yeah, but then you still have flimsy stock shield and no flare at the top, lol

I was afraid everyone would say LRS...I had a negative experience with them and am REAL shy about buying from them again because of the **** poor way they handled it...
