I just bought an 07 Electra Glide Clasic. I want to add slip on mufflers to it to get the real harley sound this bike should have. Its a TC96 with 6 speed and completely stock. I'm looking for your opinion on the best bang for my buck on getting a good set of slip ons. I'm not just looking for your opinion based on brand loyalty i'm looking for people with experience with the slip ons they are recommending and why they went with that set of pipes. Thank you for your help, there are to many options out there so a little advice is always a good thing. Thanks jkirby
Who knows what kind of sound you prefer? Go to a Bike Night, Poker Run, or hang out at the dealer. Listen to other bikes. Hear one you like, talk to the owner about it.
Many different things to consider when putting on new slip ons.
Do you like low down sound, loud as all get out, balanced, a little louder than stock, or?
I would say that you probably can't go wrong with the Rinehart sound as it is a classic sound that is endenmic to HD's. 3.5's or 4.0's.
They work for me anyway.
I just put the 4" Rineharts on my stock 2012 103 RKC, All I can say is WoW
love the deep rumble. sounds like a Harley should. couple of notches up from stock sound, but if you twist the throttle they come alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pricey but worth every penny to me. It was just what I was looking for.
good luck in you quest.
ride safe
In your case I agree...go to bike nite at local dealer, find sound you like on someone's bike and ask questions, then go in and order. Playing the chances and just ordering any set based on our opinions can wind up being a waste of money, listen to someone who has them and when you hear be you like order them. You'll be happier this way rust me.
Also try You Tube and exhaust manufacturer's websites like Vance & Hines and Fuel Moto aside from other suggestions. That's what I did and eventually went with V&H Monster Rounds + Power Duals.
