2010 Street Glide...Horrible noise at start-up

Actually, the "hot start kickback" is more of an Evo thing--all my Evo Softails did it-never the rubber mounts. My TC Fatboy only did it 4 times in the 4 years I owned it--each time I tightened the battery terminals, and problem solved.

I changed my compensator and it still make clunk once in awhile?

The clunk you hear is the starter clutch slipping and grabbing, plain and simple. Replace the starter and it will quiet down until the starter clutch lets loose again. Let them fix it under warranty as it costs you nothing.

Horrible noise and difficult startup when engine hot
I have been suffering the same symptoms in this thread. I have a 2010 Street Glide that I bought used with 4k miles (now 20,500k) from a guy who had the 96 changed out with a 103 kit, 255 cams, power commander 5 and dyno tuned when he bought it new. It still runs strong but had these symptoms periodically at startup from when I purchased it and has been getting more frequent. I don't know if the stock compesator was used when the 103 kit was installed or the se, is there anyway to tell?
