Advice needed
I got the 09 RK, everytime I start the engine when its hot, there is a loud clunking sound coming under(neutral or in gear).
but when u start it engine cold got no issues, brought it to the dealer coz I got this ESP plan thinking that the starter is the problem.
Dealer told me that the bike needs re-tune coz I changed the muffler to V&H & changed my air filter (K&N) that's why this is happening & charging me almost $500 bucks for the re-tune.
Is this possible or I really need a new starter (starter is under ESP) I feel that the dealer is trying to make me money on me.
Thanks

Although you could probably benefit from a tune for the pipes and A/C, I guarantee it isn't the tune causing your issue. It's probably the compensator.
So with that being said, here's what I would do. If the dealer says it's the tune causing your problem, then have them tune it. But before signing on the dotted line, make them perfectly aware of, and agree to in writing, that if the tune doesn't fix your problem you will not be paying for it.
This way, you'll get a free tune (cuz that's not going to fix your problem) and then you can deal with the compensator, or whatever the real problem is, under your ESP.
EDIT: Ok. I was being a little sarcastic in my original response. There's probably not a chance in hell the dealer would agree to the free tune if that didn't fix the problem. Here's what I'd really do... Find someone else to work on your bike because this dealer either doesn't know what the problem is or they're not being straight with you.
