Go to Harley and spend the 13 bucks on the engine bright for black wrinkle, not only does it work on making the engines look like new (literally) but it works on any other black components including floor board bottoms if you have the stock plastic black ones, it also shines the black part of the inner primary and around the transmission etc. Pig spit used to work but now it's owned and distributed by six different labels under the same brand name each with an obvious formulary difference from the other that make results unpredictable and disappointing cosmetically and financially if you get the wrong can.
I'm not one to boast the expensive HD brands , I personally feel the MOCO is way overpriced, but one spray can will last vtgree seasons and really does the job, giving more bang for the buck. I use it and my engine looks like new and it does withstand the elements , I've washed my Glide six times since the last application of his stuff and it still looks like I I'd the day I applied. Biggest tip/trick.........make sure the surface you are spraying is lean, dry and free of other waxes, solvents, oils and armor all type substances hat interfere with he adhesion properties of he spray. You will not be disappointed.
Accidently hit my motor with wax drives me nuts how do you get wax off the black finish of the motor

Try in an inconspicious spot first, for a short amount of time, but I have read about these.
