i actually got one of those too - I bought it when I got my bike...thought if it works, great, if not, I can ride on it till my stock seat comes back from MCC - well, long story short, the Badlander is for sale.

it's not a bad seat, but it feels kind of flimsy compared to the stock seat, and I liked how the stock seat looked on my bike better (it's an RKC).

I think the modded stock seat is narrower, lower and more comfortable, not to mention it feels more solid and looks better than the Badlander seat on my bike. Of course on a SG, I think the badlander wouldn't look so out of place.

Btw...I'm 6' with a 32" inseam.

Thanks for any help!
I made the mistake of ordering a Mustang seat for my previous ride,it was the most uncomfortable thing I ever sat on, it spread my legs that wide my feet couldn't touch the ground. Love the stock seat on my 08 Ultra.JMO

I got an extra narrower seat if you are interested.
Had it redone from my stock Streetglide seat, to make it narrower and slightly lower, done with a gel pack and memory foam.

whatever you do stay away from diamond custom seats.. mark hartco doesn't have a clue as to what makes a good seat.. even if you try to tell him what you want he won't listen or read emails..

The Super Narrow modification was developed for my 5'3" tall wife. She needed to be lowered and have the seat narrowed plus she needed to be moved forward. I did our Memory foam modification to the seat originally, lowered her narrowed the front as much as I could and moved her forward an inch. I brought the seat home and put it on her bike and it was better but she still wasn't comfortable with her footing. I took the seat back to the shop and after looking at the seat and thinking about it I thought well hell, I'll just cut off part of the seat pan and hope it still looks good on the bike, worse case scenario I would just buy another seat and start over. So, I cut 1 1/2"s of seat pan off both sides where your legs go down. I didn't spend a lot of time on the shaping of the seat pan because I wasn't sure it was going to work but I got it pretty smooth for the most part. Put the cover back on and sat on it. I couldn't believe the amount of pressure it took off my inner thighs and I thought this should work. Brought the seat home and put it back on her bike and had her sit on it. First words out of her mouth were "That's perfect" A new seat modification was born. The second seat I did this modification to was actually my own because I liked the way it felt with no inner thigh pressure like the stock seat was giving me. The rest they say is history and now we are doing 5-10 Super Narrow modifications a week. What I really like about this modification is we can lower you, keep you stock height, move you back, keep you in the stock riding position or even move you forward if you need it. Since doing her seat I took her seat back apart and have smoothed up the sides and it looks like it came from the factory made like this and I personally do all the super narrow modifications. Here is a picture of her seat right after I did it and put it on my bike to see if it worked.

Her seat is on the left and my original seat on the right. The Super Narrow is narrower than a reach seat also. We have actually done a seat for our local dealer to use to help sell touring bikes to vertically challenged riders.
