Posted this in electrical but got no response. I need help wiring my Custom Dynamics LED lights that I am putting on my engine guard. I have virtually no clue how to wire these and they come with no harness or instructions. I ordered the MOCO harness that leaves them on regardless of high/low beam, but have no clue beyond that. Can I just wire them straight to the ACC switch? Is that hot all the time? I wired a whole house, but bike electronics confuse me. I can afford just sending bringing it to the stealership, but want to learn more about my bike. Can someone help me?
You can use the acc swich its under the seat by the gas tank.i got the harness for the acc plug from harley so i didnt cut the acc plug
So, Speedwaysteve, you are saying that I can attach wiring, using those little ends that attach to wires and then plug into a harness, into said harness and that harness plugs into a plug under the seat? Is it labeled by any chance? Did you use the harness from MOCO that allows high/low beam constant on?
Sorry, I hate to keep asking questions, but just not familiar with it.
The parts you will want are 1, 4, and 6 in the picture on the first page.
The switched circuit in the ACC connector is chamber 3, and chamber 1 is the ground. The numbers are very small and are embossed at the wire insertion side of the connector.
Suggestion: Buy the HD service manual for your bike--best accessory purchase you will ever make IMO.
