does anyone know when replacing the brake lever on 08 and newer touring models
you need to drain the front brake master cylinder, disconnect the brake line before
you start changing the brake lever.
completely different than 07 and older models.
what is the difference between the 07 and oldr and 08 and newer.
seems harley likes to make things more complex to work on.
thanks for thoughts
HEAVY DUTY clip ring pliers. The normal ones you get will just bend, that clip ring is huge.
I hear ya on that. Holy crap!!! My clip ring pliers haven't bent but they sure aren't doing the job. Not enough leverage and they keep letting go. Tired of fighting with it but can't figure out how else to disconnect the clutch cable.

How did you do the cable without disassembling the ball and ramp?
Oh, and can someone tell me why it's so important to change the gasket. Gasket looks great and I don't want to give Harley $5 for a new one. I think them wanting money is actually the reason they say I gotta replace it.
i say if the gasket looks fine..then roll with it.....only one way to find out...just keep and eye on it ...if it starts to leak then there ya have it..you need a new one... its not like all your tranny fluid is gonna come rushing out...
