I have an 02 with the 3.5 Rineharts slip on's - Interesting - I was wondering if I could just get new head pipes and keep the 3.5's...I have been told no but reading this post looks like the V/H head pipe will work...
I will do some more looking - Just love this place for info...
I took a different approach than the masses. I just installed a set of S&S Power Tune Duals which I believe are the only cross under pipes available for the early TCs. I am extremely happy. The cross under eliminates that hot pipe off the rear cylinder that on most duals comes right down by the passenger's leg. My wife says there is virtually no heat on her feet and legs now.
They also have a "power chamber" transferring pulses between pipes to aid in flow. They are not 2-1-2, rather they just a little cross pulse port. Seem to perform really well.
One last note. I had a bit of an issue with one of the pipes having what I felt was an incorrect bend. I called S&S and they immediately sent me a replacement no questions asked and didn't even make me send the old pipe back. Great customer service from a company known for performance.
