Default Air shock question?

I swapped my 13 inch air shocks on my 2011 eg limited to 12 inch hd air shocks, what kind of psi do I run on these? The same as the 13's?
I did this to lower me so I can put my feet on the ground.

Check your owner's manual for pressures for a Street Glide. Should be the same since they run the 12" shock.

Do they still use the same manual for all touring models? They did in '06.

This is on my 09 FLHTC with the 09+ SG shocks:

I weigh about 230# with riding gear, add 20# for the crap is the saddlebags and with tour pak off I run about 7 PSI solo.

if the tourpak is on ( and with your cb radio and heated grips.) add about 35# to the total weight so maybe 10 to 12 PSI in the shocks.

You want to feel as if the bike is floating between the top and bottom of the shock travel.

use the right pump, the little syringe thing, a bicycle pump can blow the air lines or worse

with passenger you may want to add another 5 or 10 PSI

if that works for you, then fine.

my 7 psi ( tour pak off, solo, 230# +20# crap) works for me and while I may bottom out, I also sometimes "top out", remember we gave up 30% of the shock travel.

i put the shock shocks back on for long trips.

OEM Harley shocks have different maxium air pressure depending upon the year, for 09 and up I believe it's 50, I know prior to 09 it's less than that than the 09+ models. Are the shocks an earlier model? Advice from those that have earlier models wont help you unless you have earlier model shocks.

The max presure on my 08 stock 13" shocks was 35psi

It pays to have a servise manual for your spacific year.

The 11" Bitchin Bagger Shocks i have now were shocks from a newer bike that were cut down . max presure on them is 50psi.

Depends on the year. I run 28 solo on my street glide.
