Got a new helmet today, and it is awesome. Super light and really cools and vents very well. I can see so much more riding with this helmet, then my cheap one I had before.

No noise at all. Honestly. Its pretty great. The cooling of the my big *** head is why I love it. I changed out to smaller cheek pads and fits great. Might be just a tad too loose.
I'm not a fan of full face helmets myself. I have one I will use if it ever gets too cold here in South Florida and it's a Nolan. But I know a lot of folks who do like them. I know that good ventilation is a big plus down here in the summer. This months Cycle Magizine had an article about helmets and some ratings
I need a better helmet but not too sure I could handle a full helmet. I do need a visor though or I should wear goggles. A high sun angle derives me crazy coming over the top of my glasses. During hot weather I wear a "Trooper" style half helmet I bought at the dealer. It has a visor (small) and I like it for warm weather.
Nice looking lid.....I got a full face just for the cool spring and falls here in the upper midwest. It is also nice in the rain, but that is the only time I can stand them.
You know truth be told, I dont like wearing a helmet at all. But one they taught me in my riders edge course, is just in case it happens, be prepped. My wife burned her leg pretty good in a mishap, and had it not been for her boots a jeans, a 2nd/3rd degree burn would have turned to an amputated foot. So I am trying my best to make it a habit to put this thing on everytime.
My biggest motivator, is looking at my wife, and kids. If something happens, I want to make sure I did all I can to not lose them, and if I make it, I want to make sure I did all I could to not have a mangled face. Plus I am a novice bike rider, I hope wearing a full face is a habit I pick up everyday.
