PCIII igintion table
I have -3 in my canned map in the cruising range 20-60%. What would I gain if i put them to -2 instead. Does the negative number mean it retarding timing to reduce pinging issues?

Interesting. I have multiple maps that I've tried. Some from being dynoed and others are canned. None of them have negative changes in that range, In fact they are all at 0. There are some increases at higher rpm and throttle position.

If there are negatives they were probably done on a DYNO tune. Remember the PCIII is just modifying what the ECM is doing. The ECM could have + 4 there and the DYNO tune showed to take 3 away. I havent seen all or near all but have not seen a canned map with any ignition adjustments below WOT that were not emission controlled exhaust valve disabled MAPS. Where did you get them?
