Any ideas would help greatly, when taking off in first gear she will cough and pop like she is running out of fuel, at idle if you roll the throttle quick she does the same thing, and if you roll it quick and hold the throttle it takes a few seconds for her to catch up, i replaced the fuel filter in the tank and found the line from the filter to the pump had a hole in it, thought this may have been the problem but no luck, tried the throttle position sensor cause the ohm check was all over the place, still no luck, she throws no codes, i just replaced the plugs, she has 39,000 on her, runs great just coughs at me, real annoying at take off.
I will be following this thread as my 2006 Street Glide is doing something similar. Not quite as consistent as you are describing and mine seems to be acting up in 2nd and/or 3d gear. Coincidentally I just changed my spark plugs also. I've got about 22K on my bike She was running fine prior to the spark plug change. I used the OEM Harley plugs.
I won, everything to me pointed at an intake or fuel problem so I finally went back to to the carb cleaner and started spraying the intake, I had to really hose down the front cylinder intake and the engine tone finally changed, must be a small leak and that is why it only happened when taking off in first gear and rolling the throttle hard, so i know what i will be doing this weekend
bdjhog, try lookin at you crank position sensor or your speed sensor, and what else happens with you ride when this goes on.

Tonight I took apart the air cleaner and got some Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner and sprayed down the intake good and wiped everything down. Got a good shot or two on the IAS as well. We'll see tomorrow if it makes a difference. I paid closer attention today while riding to work. I definitely get a hesitation when rolling on the throttle in 2nd and 3rd gear, not so much in 4th and 5th. This morning when I came to a stop I got the stuttering like it was about to run out of gas, but not at every stop. If the cleaning that I did tonight doesn't fix it I think I'll try changing out the TPS this weekend.

Changing the intake seals isn't a fun job, so be prepared to become aggravated. Transcendental meditation prior to starting may help. Keep kids out of hearing range and protect valuable objects (cars, etc.) from objects that take flight out of anger. It's very tight in there, so have a 1/4" ball-end Allen wrench available, preferably several variations thereof, but you may still need to Dremel a standard Allen wrench shorter to access one or more intake bolts.
