Has anybody installed a handle on their dash compartments on a Road Glide? I am having mine painted right now and am thinking over prolonged use these areas will become prone to chipping or wear marks.
Have seriously thought about this on more than one occasion....
Haven't pulled the trigger yet, as I haven't seen anything that
has caught my eye.
And in all honesty, I don't mind the 'wear marks' on the paint as it just
adds to the patina of riding the snot out of my bike.....
I'm not looking for resale value, I'm looking forward to the odometer
clicking past 100k .....
You have got to be kidding me! You haven't installed remote control electric openers with the remotes mounted in your console next to the garage door opener yet!?! Sheesh, slacker..............
When the springs broke on my '06 doors,I did not want to shell out $60 each for the door/assy.You cant buy the springs.
So I ordered some black plastic latches from McMaster Carr. These basicly had a small hook for a finger and a push button lock.Drilled a 5/8 hole or so in each door then the were held in with a nut from inside.
