I'm in the UK and I have Progressive 440 13 1/2" shocks on my 02 FLHR that have been on there since I bought it. I want to lower it, partly for flat footing but mostly for the look. I have the offer of a set of Progressive 412's off an FXR. I'm just wondering if the fittings are the same. I know it's a fairly drastic amount to lower the back but it's not as low as the Burly shocks and being Progressive they should be good quality. Any thoughts or knowledge gratefully received (but please don't say 'don't lower it' because my mind is made up to get it as low as I can in the best way I can, front next when finances allow
I put 11.5" progressive 412's on my 99 Eglide, the ride is quite a bit harsher than the stock air shocks, there was also some rubbing at the top of the fender on big bumps (bottoming out). You might be better off with 11.5 or 12 " 440's. Just my experience. Want to buy my 412's lol.
