Mine worked great right up until I installed the new HogTunes amp. Now it's a paperweight because the amp's RF intereferes with the antenna (in the batwing) and I get no reception. Had to go back to my shorty antenna.

yikes, aside from that how did the amp and boom speakers work for you? Make a big difference? How was the cost to install?

I love my Hogtunes 70.2 amp. Initially got the Hogtunes speakers and they were a only minor improvement over stock. Then I picked up the Boom speakers and they were an incredible improvement-sounds awesome with the amp and I can hear clearly over my obnoxious exhaust at 70mph. Tossed the Hogtunes speakers in the trash and never looked back.

Did the install myself so don't know the cost. Was very simple and took about 45 minutes. I'd guess the dealers would stick you for at least 2 hours of labor. Some guys run the amp power under the tank. I ran mine under the tank console (per the install instructions). If you can change your own oil, you can easily do this install.

I should clarify....The HD hidden antenna is a paperweight now, not the amp. I'm working with Hogtunes tech support for a fix on the RF interference issue.

I have the J&M powered antenna in the fairing, the stock antenna plugs into it in addition to the loop inside the fairing. I pick up stations I never could before. Sitting in my garage, before install with the shorty antenna, I could pick up one WB channel. After the install, I get 3. Weak stations before are now strong. I am happy with it. I do not have an amp so cannot say if there is interference.

Mine works fine. Fine, but not great. Very simple install.
However, it does not have the range of the whip. If I were to do it over, I would get the shorty. Looks better than standard, and by all accounts, better reception.

Ahhhh... poop. I have the RF-PBR amp installed. I hope that doesn't cause issues. We'll see once it gets here I guess.
