First I know that this has been answered hundreds of times on the forum and I have looked for a couple days and could not find my exact questions so I'm putiing it out there. I have installed a Permormance Machine AC with the next mod being a perfromance exhaust and header. Future plan will be a CAM but not for a while. When I bought my bike I ask the dealer what tuner they preferred to work with and of course it was the SE super tuner, but he said if all I was planning on doing were AC, pipes and Cams and nothing else the factory downloads were all I would need. I have a guy I work with just bought a 2012 RK from another dealer and he put AC, pipes and CAMS right on, he has never ran a tuner and was only going to get the factory download, but the dealer sad their was not a stage 1 download for 2012 due to some EPA mandates and he would have to purchase the super tuner. So first questions is has anyone heard of this. I have not got back to my dealer yet to ask. Tuner questions, I have been looking and reading about the PCV and the PV. My first thought was the PV would be the best bet, but I do want to raise the rev limiter and I heard that you can't raise the rev limiter with the PV, you would have to go with the PCV to do that. Any thoughts are welcome, I want to pop on this in the next couple days.

you absolutely can raise the rev limit with the pv. i prefer the pv over the pcv just because it is a flashed base tuner as opposed to a piggy back unit. but either one will do good for you. my recommendation, call jamie at fuelmoto and talk to him. he will steer you right.
First off there is a HD Download for the new bikes. HD 34463-11. Works on the 2012 models. Our local dealer told my buddy the same thing. So he bought the SE Race tuner. Last month I bought a new Street Glide and they offered to do a download for me. I personally will be calling Fuel Moto.

Good luck...
+1 for the SE Pro Tuner. I have a PCV on my 2010 SG and us a PV 0n my 2012 SG prior to my engine swap. When I installed the 120R I could not for a local indy to tune it with the PV during its "break-in" period (800ish miles). I bought a SE Protuner w/cables & software, it came a great base map for the 120R and with the Smart Tune feature I had the engine running great. I've since had it Dynoed and the tuner said that he didn't have to change much.
