I have a question about the differnace between Progressive's "fork lowering kit" and their
"drop in" lowering kit. They list 2 differant part #'s on the website and I can't seem to find what is differant from one kit to the other. I'm going to put chrome lower's on anyway so I'll have the forks apart. Just wondering what the standard kit has that the "drop in" kit doesn't.
I know your going to say monotubes are the way to go but I'm still on the fence with the almost $300 differance in price.
The drop in kit uses a short main spring, with a weak compensation spring, and a spacer that all goes in the top of the forks. The other kit uses a short main spring, and additional rebound springs that go in below the damper valve. You have to disassemble the forks to install the second kit.
