Funny, when you check that site for "Motorcycles Made in the USA", there is disclaimer for HD rather than a casual endorsement found for other brands. Must be those crazy Chinese wheels...

When possible - buying American helps your neighbor, relative, friends' relative, neighbors friends relative......to stay employed a bit longer hopefully - OR just go ahead and help to support the economy of the 'other' nations that hate everything USA stands for and even have plans to come over here and TAKE what you now have.....mmmmm - just a thought..IF you are doing nothing to HELP the USA - then perhaps you my friend are also - part-of-the-problem....)

Hey! Stand up for your convictions! Go ahead & send a quality product back because it's made somewhere you know nothing about, it's your right!

Personally, I'm tired of everyone demanding cheap, quality goods be made here in America but unwilling to work for the wages those goods pay.

Even if everything we wanted were made here, we're still part of an entire planet. Other people do things well too! Wake up & smell the (Colombian) coffee!

The assembly of my bike alone is keeping Americans gainfully employed. All I'm saying is I do MY part to keep america working as best I can.

You can do as you please.

Competition in a good thing.... when Dunlop sees folks buying the Michelin commander II's, that will spur them towards developing a comparable tire. Which in fact... they have... "American Elite".... except the AE, doesn't come in the sizes for older HD's

Dunlops are made in USA...WHEN they aren't on strike. The reason I switched to Metzler tires on my Sporty was due to strike the size tire I needed wasn't available from Dunlop.

Best thing a Labor Union ever did for me. I would most likely still be riding on the inferior Dunlop tires, if it wasn't for the strike.

And I have ordered a set of the Michelin Commander 2 tires for my UC to replace the DunCRAP that is on the bike currently.

A Dunlop Elite 3 rear is known for very high milage, especially the 160/80B16 probably just as high milage as the Commander 2
However the Dunlop is Made in USA Fits 04-08 touring models well. They also have the MU90B16 and MT90B16 for the old ones.

On another note for the supporters of outsourcing to save 10 or 20 bucks on their Rear Harley Tire: I would like trying to explain your thoughts to those folks in Oplika Alabama that used to work at the Michelin Plant, which Closed about 3 years ago, and nearly a 1000 of those haven't found a job yet!
Don't think Id want to run into them in a Dark Alley!!!

Well, the high quality Dunlop American Elite 180/65 B16 only made 10,000 miles of twisties here in NC before it cupped so bad on my 2009 Ultra I had to replace it! Yes inflation and alignment was always checked too.
