Default Pleasantly Surprised

Well, just got around to measuring my tread depth. I have a 2011 Road King Classic w/ stock D407/408. New depth on 407 is 10/32 and I am at 8/32. New depth on 408 is 5/32 and I am still at 5/32. Have about 6,100 mi on the scoot. At this rate, I could be looking at over 20,000 mi. on the rear!. Pretty damn good for crappy Michigan roads. We'll see how badly cupping issues cut into longevity, but at this point I am very happy. I check my pressure once a week and do more 1 up than 2 up riding, but do use engine braking and my rear brake consistently.

The Dunlop 407/408 combination ran for 20K miles on my 2010 StreetGlide before I replaced them. I think I could have gotten a few more thousand miles out of them, especially the front tire. Just didnt want to mess with two tire changes at separate time so had them both replaced together. Got another set of them.
