Default Slip-ons or Full System

I'm looking to change from the stock exhaust on my Road Glide. What's better to do, slip-ons or the full system? Spent a lot of money on slip-ons and a Harley super tuner a few years back on a Heritage and didn't see much difference in power. Is it worth the money to do the full system? What tuner would you use. Bike is a 2011.

In a 2011 you have cats so it's prolly better to do complete pipes. If it was an 09 I'd say you'd be fine with the slip-ons.

Do a full system and get rid of the catalyst in the headpipe. Look at FuelMotos pipe or the Fulsac pipe if your planing on staying 2-1-2, they both use the stock heat shields and produce the best power for that type of pipe.

If you need the A/C too call Jamie at Fuel Moto and ask about a power package, There is a lot of savings bundling a A/C Pipes and a tuner together

it really depends on what you want and what you want to spend

a full system is always better to do, but with that you probably have a tuner and some kind of air cleaner to do also

so if your budget can handle that, its the better way to go

if you don't want to swing that kind of coin right now, slip ons can get you a nice sound for a lot less cash - but don't expect any performance out of them

I have an 08 street bob. My bike had v&h straight shot slip ons. They sounded great but there was no performance gain. Perhaps a minute improvement but nothing I could feel. Now it has a v&h propipe and that added significant power across the board. So ask yourself what do you want. A bike that sounds nice or a more powerful bike that sounds nice.

I'd go full system..

Cal Fuel Moto and order a complete package from them....I have yet to find better prices.

I got V&H Dresser Duals, Rinehart 4"s, Stage 1 A/C and the Power Vision with a map from them for a little over $1500.

Or, you can do it on the cheap like I did and others. I removed my stock exhaust, decatted my pipe myself, had a friend weld it back up. I had already done the breather kit from fuel moto. I bought wild pig slipons ($187.00 plus shipping) and bought a power vision with pre-loaded map from fuel moto.

All in all, without the air kit from jamie, I have $750.00 total im my system and it sounds GREAT. It also has seat of the pants feel like additional getup and go!!!
