I got a 07 street glide and yea the usual tranny **** like everyone elese has been on fire about i recently recived a letter from harley davidson on a recall !!! It stated that the bikes where leaveing the factory too lean and causeing problems with engine's and transmission noise and so on !!! so i went to my local shop yesturday and had them reflash my bike i pull onto the high way and got to about 5th gear and listened then 6th drop rpms and raise rpm and pure silence !!!!!! kept trying and trying to get it to make the noise nearly stalling the bike and still silence !!! I was amazed !! I take it this was the cure for my bike i dont know how bad anybody elese's was but i just thought id drop my two bits !!!

The only problem is they have to have the Cardinals, Miami, 49ers, Lions and all these crappy teams to win. not going to happen

i too dont see how a computer software change would make a mechanical gear whine lessen.

I've got 07 Road Glide I picked up in early August. After 3500 miles, no fix needed here....only a slight whine in 5th ..............and 6th is smooth as silk!!

I don't have the problems , but those that do I guess the chatter comes from the compensator sprocket , so a torque smoothing download should help them by reducing the load on the compensator , think about it , just a thought .
