I put these on and within 10 minutes I am getting worse lower shoulder pain than I did with the stock RK bars. I have rotated back and forth to no relief.
I had Heritage Style bars which found comfortable except for the wrist angle so after reading hundreds of threads about MBB I switched.
These are 10's not 12's but they are still a lot higher than the heritage style so I don't think the extra 2 inches would make that much difference.
I have a backrest on my seat, that is not the problem, I have a knife pain in my middle back that wasn't there with the Heritage bars.
Now I have a big problem. If it was a matter of just swallowing the cost of new bars I could live with it, but I have all my wires installed internally and after that job, I have my doubts about them coming back out without being damaged.
I wish I had of left the Heritage Style on.
I'm not sure if you have rotated the bars back any. Try moving them back so they are not as high. This is pretty simple to do.

Man I hate to hear that!! The stock bars on my 11 were killing me, but switching to the 14" MBB fixed my shoulder pain.

I'd be all over swapping a stock setup plus some cash to you for them, where are you located?

I'm actually scheduled to have 10 in MBB's installed this weekend.

I was going to say rock them back a bit but I see you've tried that. I'd say do what others have said and put them on ebay as prewired. I'll bet someone will snap them up. Good luck finding something comfortable for you. I guess I lucked out and they're (12") are perfect for me.

Wow that's an excellent idea...if people could do that with exhaust and bars everyone would have exactly what they wanted....novel concept where do we start?

Booch how much different from the Heritage bars are the apes can you take a pic with them next to each other, it might help with getting offers from readers especially when they can compare the difference if they had Heritage bars and thinking about going with a taller ape?

I have partially solved the problem but it leaves me with another dilemma.
I have a C and C solo seat with backrest that I put on this winter. out of desperation I put my old harley solo signature seat and backrest on and went for a ride. Guess what? No pain. The backrest on the harley seat sits higher, in fact the whole seat is higher and a little forward from the C and C.
Problem is I really love the look of the C and C and the seat itself is comfortable.
I'm going to get something fabricated so I can have the backrest sit higher on my back and hopefully that works because I don't want to get rid of the seat.
If it comes down to the choice though, seat switching takes a minute as opposed to the hours involved in a bar swap that may not solve my problem.
